[Salem] Get Paid For Volunteering

Some employers will make contributions for employee volunteer hours. Please check with your human resource representative to see if your employer has this type of program. Below is a list of just a few of the companies that make contributions for employee volunteer hours. If you are an employee of these companies, ask your employer to sponsor you as a volunteer to our school.

Cisco SystemsWill contribute $17 per hour, 2 hour minimum per engagement.Check the internal I-Give website for details. Maximum total contribution of $1,000 per year.
EMC2Will contribute $1 per hour, up to $250.Employees must go on-line to internal HR website to register their total hours. You’ll need the PTA Tax ID#.
VerizonWill contribute $500 for 50 hours or $1,000 for 100 hours.Employees must go on-line to register donations: Foundation.verizon.com/07001.shtml
SASWill contribute
50 volunteer hours = $250
100 volunteer hours = $500
Check with HR for application and quarterly timesheet deadlines. Apply to participate early in the school year.
Glaxo Smith KlineWill contribute $500 for 50 hours.Application form must be requested from the HR office.
IBMIBM employees are eligible for up to $3500 in technology grants or $1000 in cash awards for 8 hours per month for five consecutive months.Employees may need to contact HR for more information.
